We will set up an appointment for you and request payment of a $50 administrative fee, which you will pay in advance for a telephone consultation.

Yes. We ask for that information so that when we are setting up an appointment with a lawyer, we can make sure that the lawyer does not have an existing relationship with that person or business.
Yes. We can set up a phone consultation for you with a Santa Cruz County lawyer.
LRS works with lawyers throughout Santa Cruz County, and your appointment will be at the lawyer’s office. We will give you directions to the lawyer’s office when we confirm your appointment. LRS clients come from all over Santa Cruz County, including Aptos, Ben Lomond, Bonny Doon, Boulder Creek, Brookdale, Capitola, Corralitos, Davenport, Felton, Freedom, La Selva Beach, Mount Hermon, Pajaro, Rio del Mar, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, Soquel, Swanton, Watsonville and Zayante.
No, we do not provide lists of attorneys.
Write down a brief description of your problem. You will also want to write down any questions that you may have. Bring this information along with copies of all of the documents related to your case so you can share them with the lawyer.
We have a very limited number of fee waivers available to Santa Cruz County residents who meet certain financial qualifications. We recommend that you call our office first thing Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. to request a fee waiver. These are given out on a first come, first served basis.
The fee waiver covers only the $50 administrative fee for your 30-minute appointment. If you decide to work further with the lawyer, you would need to make financial arrangements between yourself and the lawyer.

Yes. We can set up a phone consultation for you with a lawyer. You will be asked for a credit card, which will be charged the $50 administrative fee.
Do you have lawyers who speak Spanish?
We have lawyers who speak Spanish or have someone in their office who speaks Spanish and LRS phone interviewers that speak Spanish. If our Spanish-speaking staff is unavailable, we will ask for your name and number, and will return your call as soon as possible.
